Bernadine L. Stout

Bernadine L. Stout, age 84, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Spring Green, surrounded by her family.  She was born December 11, 1925, in Richland County, the daughter of James and Sarah (Sugden) Banker.  Prior to her retirement in 1985, Bernadine had been employed by Oscar Mayer for over 29 years.  In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and reading.  On October 2, 1940, Bernadine was united in marriage with Thomas Stout, in Dubuque.  Survivors include 2 daughters: Bernadine (Tom) Stroede of Richland Center and Sara (Steve) Hicks of Spring Green; 1 son James Stout of Madison; 6 grandchildren: Debra Brewster, Jodi Axelson, Kenneth Gilbertson, Paul (Theresa) Gilbertson, Jessica (Jennifer) Hicks and Steve (Amber) Hicks; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Tom on March 17, 2000, her parents and 3 sisters: Ruth, Lora and Delores. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 31 at the LONE ROCK CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH 202 S. Chestnut Street in Lone Rock.  Reverend Craig Peach will officiate.  The family extends a special thank you to Hospice  for the care they provided Bernadine.
