Bernice C. Vick

Bernice C. Vick, age 95 of Stoughton, died on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Skaalen Home.   She was born on April 27, 1915 in Morris, Illinois to Johannes and Sevrine (Bellesen) Udstuen.   She resided in Stoughton since 1921, after moving here with her family, and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1934.   Bernice was married to Peter A. Vick of McFarland in 1939.   He preceded her in death in 1946.   Bernice was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in various nursing homes in Stoughton until retiring in 1980. She is survived by her son, Allen (Agnes) Vick, grandchildren Marsha (Steve) Goetzman, Jonathan (Sherry) Vick and Peter Vick.   She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Sarah Vick, Hannah Vick, Andrew Vick, Kristin Goetzman, Megan Goetzman, Eric Goetzman and Anna Goetzman.   Bernice was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and brothers, Bertel Udstuen and Alvin (June) Udstuen.   Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Hwy B, Stoughton.   The family will greet friends at church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   Interment will take place at a later date at East Side Cemetery in Stoughton.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Skaalen Home.
