Bert Pullar

McFarland / WI Dells - Bert Pullar 81, Korean War Veteran & P.O.W; passed away at the V. A. Hospital in Madison on Tue. Dec. 3, 2013. He was born in Crookston, MN, on Aug. 22, 1932, the son of Guy and Olga Pullar. Bert worked in construction as a concrete finisher for many years. He was a devoted member of the McFarland American Legion, Edwards-Foye Post 534, and recently received his 52 year member certificate. Bert is survived by his wife Lois K. Pullar; their son, Wally (Shirley) Pullar of Lodi; Lois's sons Larry Everett of Big Lake, MN and Dale (Sue) Everett of Cambridge; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Vera (John) Slatinski of Ericsburg, MN, Norma (Bud) Blake of Int'l Falls, MN, Gladys (Gordon) Cassibo of Apple Valley, MN and Beverly (Jim) Kockelman, Spring Hill, FL; three brothers, Bob (Doris) Pullar of Int'l Fall's, MN, Norman (Joan) Pullar of Lakeville, MN and Larry (Jacque), Pullar of Int'l Falls, MN. Bert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joyce (Everett) Crapp; grandson, Christopher Pullar; and brothers, Leon and Arnold Pullar. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland. Burial will follow, with full military honors, at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon reception at the McFarland American Legion, following the burial. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM on Thur, Dec. 5, 2013 at the funeral home, and from 10 AM until the time of services Friday.
