Hund, Bertha 'Bert'

McFarland -- Bertha 'Bert' Hund, age 79 of McFarland, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Nazareth House in Stoughton. She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on August 3, 1929, a daughter of Therman and Nettie (Hopkins) Ogle. On February 11, 1950, she was united in marriage to Albert Hund in Bristo, Oklahoma. Bert was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, and travelling cross country in the motor home with Albert. Bert also enjoyed crafts such as ceramics and knitting. She will be very sorely missed. She is survived by her husband, Albert; son, Bruce (Kristi) Hund; daughter, Leanna (Harold Rivers) Hund; foster daughter, Sandra Swenby; grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine and Laurel; brothers, Bill (Donna) Ogle, Edward Ogle and Frank (Susie) Ogle; sisters, Frances (Tom) Hudson and Laura Hamilton; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale; sister Dana Paul and brother, Jackie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in McFarland with the Rev. David Brynnelson officiating. Burial will follow at The Town of Dunn Burying Grounds. Memorials may be made in Bert's name to the Salvation Army. Special thanks to the staff of Nazareth House for their kind help and care.
