Bette A Mintz

Sun Prairie-Bette A. Mintz, age 88, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Sun Prairie Health Care. Bette was born on January 24, 1920 in Madison, the daughter of Leo and Frances (Powers) Barrett. She was a lifelong resident of the Madison area. Mrs. Mintz was a longtime employee of the State of Wisconsin as a Library Aide. In her spare time she loved to play cards, grow flowers and raise and play with birds, especially Parakeets. She is survived by her son, James (Kathleen) Harper, Madison; brother, Martin Barrett, Stoughton; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, George, Bobby & Charlie and sisters, Jean, Thelma & Katheryn. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home Chapel, Sun Prairie. A reception will follow service in the community room in the funeral home.
