Betty Ann Amundson

Janesville- Betty Ann Amundson, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Oak Park Place in Janesville. She was born in Stoughton on March 22, 1930, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes Amundson. 

Betty attended Odland School and graduated from Stoughton High School. She graduated from Madison General Hospital School of Nursing. Betty worked as a Registered Nurse for the University Hospital. She was proficient in the field of orthopedics, sharing her knowledge with her peers, medical students and resident doctors. The orthopedic surgeons had great respect for her. As a supervisor Betty had great rapport with her staff. She supported them thru difficult situations. Betty was very proud to have worked at UW Health University Hospital for 35 years. She retired from the hospital in 1990 after 35 years of service and dedication. Betty was a member of Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church. 

She is survived by nieces and nephew, Pat (John) Reynolds, Sandy Anderson, Sue (Bob) Kies and Craig (Ronna) Anderson, and their families. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan (Roger) Anderson; and nephew, Allan Anderson. 

She will be laid to rest privately at Western Koshkonong Cemetery next to her parents.
