Betty Joyce Clark

Sun Prairie, WI Betty Joyce (Prokash) Clark, 86 died peacefully at HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI on June 29, 2011. She was born on August 12, 1924 in Kenosha, WI to Gladys (Ihlenfeld) Prokash and Frank J Prokash. She married Russell Clark on March 30, 1946 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee, WI.

During her 86 years she accomplished many things. She was an honored Queen for Job's Daughters, substitute teacher for the Waupun School System and assisted in establishing the first nursery school in Waupun, Secretary at the United Church of Christ in Waupun and President of the Waupun Board of Health. She was a Girl Scout leader in Waupun, an assistant Girl Scout leader for her daughter's troop and although never an official Girl Scout she continued her involvement with the Girl Scouts into the early 90s where she served as Sun Prairie's Community Cookie Chair.

However, her greatest accomplishment and true calling in life was as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special Grammie. She loved and was loved by so many in her life. She is survived by her children Joy Clark FitzSimmons Ninedorf (Andy AKA her special Angel on Earth) of Sun Prairie and Scott Clark of Madison, Sister-in-Laws Jeanne Prokash and Edith Clark. Her grandchildren Brent (Laura Beyrle) and Kristi Ninedorf both of Sun Prairie, Sarah, Andrew (Kayla) and Jonathan Clark of Sturgeon Bay. Her great-grandchildren Alexia Skye, Kendzie Moon (Moonie) and Quinn Rainn Clark and her special ""extra"" grandchildren Joey Broyles, Daniel Atwater, Jamie (Mender) Strehlow and Adrian Ramos.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Russell, her parents, brother Richard Prokash, daughter-in-law Pastor Diane Clark, son-in-law Michael FitzSimmons and grandson Scott Ninedorf.

A visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home in Sun Prairie, WI from 5-7pm on Friday July 8th & at he church from 10:00 -11:00 am on July 9th. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Sun Prairie, WI on Saturday July 9th at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to be made to HospiceCare, Inc. in her name.
The family would like to thank Hospice Inc. of Dane Co. for their help for all of us during moms last days.
