Betty Jane McCutchin

MADISON- Betty J. McCutchin (Blaul), age 88, of Madison, passed peacefully Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Oakwood Village. She was born September 12, 1920, in Hammond, Indiana to John W. Blaul and Florence Pryor (Bennett). She graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, Indiana in 1938. She attended St. Catherine's School of Nursing in East Chicago, IN and graduated in 1941. She married Robert H. McCutchin on June 12, 1950, in Madison, WI. Betty worked as a nurse at the University Hospital in Madison. Betty was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, a passionate reader, and a devoted cat lover. She is survived by daughter, Patricia A. McCutchin of Madison; son, Robert C. (Gayla) McCutchin of Duvall, Washington; niece, Barb (Dan) Minor and their two children, Dana and Joe of Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1984; parents, John W. Blaul and Florence Pryor (Bennett); and sister-in-law, Nancy Endres. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 12:00 noon at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Officiating the service will be Rev. Fran Deanor of Bashford United Methodist Church. Friends may call on the family Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Black Earth, WI. A special thank you to the staff at Hebron Oaks and HospiceCare for their wonderful care.
