Betty A. Olson

Madison/Stoughton- Betty A. Olson, age 82, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Sienna Meadows in Oregon.  She was born in Madison on December 24, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Florence (Hamacher) Milward.  On July 6, 1949 Betty married Raymond C. Olson.  She enjoyed watching Indy and Stock car racing, baseball, ceramics, bowling and Badger hockey.  Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She is survived by her three sons, Jeff (Wanda) Olson, Rick (Deb) Olson and Roger (Carmen) Olson; five granddaughters, Taryn, Amy, Megan (Jeremy) Mitchell, Lindsey and Chelsey; sister, Marion Fleming; and many nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; and two brothers, Claude and Henry.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Halom officiating.  Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services at the church.  Burial will take place in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Tuesday.  A special thank you to Peggy Packard and the staff of Sienna Meadows.
