Betty Sue Peters (Beadles)
Betty Sue Peters, age 71, of McFarland, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 7, 2019. Betty, the daughter of Miniard and Martha (Mills) Beadles, was born February 5, 1948 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Having spent the first six years of her life in and around the Jump River, Wisconsin area, she moved to McFarland with her family. She called McFarland home the rest of her life and was particularly proud of having lived in the Edwards Park area of the village. Betty graduated from McFarland High School in 1966. Betty married her husband, Paul, on January 8, 1972. They continued to live in McFarland and raised a family. Betty worked in the office at the Smith Oil Co., spent 25+ years as a data entry homeworker for WPS, and was a crossing guard in her spare time. The jobs she was proudest of were that of wife, mother, grandmother, and being the "Travelling Granny Nanny" caring for her grandchildren. Betty was a voracious reader and always had a book or two going. In addition to her books, she developed an interest in computer games and correspondence through Facebook. Betty is survived by husband Paul; daughters: Erica (James) Ehlert, Gretchen Peters, Sarah (Brian) Golat; and son Paul (Sarah Jo) Peters Jr.; Brothers Bill Beadles and Robert (Jane) Beadles. She is further survived by her beloved grandchildren Kyleah McKnight, Grayson Lippert, Alexa Lippert, Cortney Ehlert, Emilee Ehlert, Ethan Peters, Kaden Peters, Sebastian Golat, and Ezra Golat; mother-in-law Janet Peters; special nephew Kristopher Peters; and many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Miniard, mother Martha, and father-in-law John Peters.
