Beverly Brandt

McFarland/Westport - Beverly A. "Bev" Brandt, age 69 passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on June 25, 1946 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herbert and Pearl (Taylor) Carpenter. On November 6, 1965, Bev was united in marriage to Roger Brandt in Cottage Grove. For 47 years, Bev worked for Suttle-Strauss Printing Company until her retirement on January 2, 2014. Bev was very proud of the many friends she made at the Monona Serenity Club over the past 30 years. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, traveling out West and the many motorcycling trips she and Roger had taken over the years. Bev was also an avid NASCAR and Packer fan. Bev will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bev is survived by her husband of 50 years, Roger Brandt; two children, Brett (Karleen) Brandt and Dawn Ness; five grandchildren, Austin, Preston and Quinton Brandt and Sydney and Samuel Ness and their father Richard Ness; her brother, Frank (Sally) Carpenter, niece; Cindy (Ron) Imhoff and lifelong best friends, Alma and Del Dahl. She is also survived by other loving family and friends. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy White and brother William Carpenter.
A memorial service to celebrate Bev's life will be held at MCFARLAND LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Kelli Schmit officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of services.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare and most importantly to CNA Angie, for all their care, kindness and compassion not only to Bev in her final days but also to our family.
