Madison - Beverly Ann Crocker (nee Laufenberg) of Madison, Wisconsin and New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was born in Mineral Point, Wisconsin on September 11, 1926.  She died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on December 15, 2010, after a long and courageous battle against lung disease.  She was raised in Highland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Mary (McGuire) Laufenberg. Upon graduation from Highland High School, she moved to Madison, Wisconsin where she has been a lifelong resident and where she met and married her husband of 58 years, David Wm. Crocker, who survives her. She loved people, conversation and a good cup of coffee. She had a magic smile that would light up any room.  To know her was to be her friend. She was an avid bowler and golfer, and a long time member of the Nakoma and Sugar Mill Golf Clubs.  She was a founding member of St. Maria Goretti Parish.  An avid Badger fan, she also loved to cook, sew, knit and to entertain, but most of all she loved her husband and her family.  She is the mother of Randall D. Crocker (Kathleen) of Shorewood, Wisconsin and Mary Kay Roseneck (Richard) of Madison, Wisconsin. She is the grandmother of Rachel and Julia Roseneck and Margaret Crocker.  She is also survived by her sisters Mary Jean Wienkes of Highland, Wisconsin and Magdalene Handel of Oregon, Wisconsin and her brother Wayne Laufenberg (Pat) of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin along with her many nieces, nephews and friends.  She will be deeply missed.  Visitation will be at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME at 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, Wisconsin on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin.  Memorials in Beverly's honor can be made to St. Maria Goretti Parish.
