Beverly Powers

Beverly Jane Powers, age 87, of Monona, WI, passed away on Friday July 23rd 2021 at the hospital.

She was born on April 20th 1934, in Madison, the daughter of Earl N. and Myrtle (Sveum) Powers.

She lived in Madison most of her life and surrounding areas in later years, she graduated from West High School in 1952. She worked for Doring Lincoln – Mercury in her early adult life & then went to Cuna Mutual where she worked for the remaining years, where she had many roles while working & took great pride in her final years there working in the International Bldg. as guest relations, greeting all of the foreign guests, giving tours, showing films about the company & made many great friends. After she had retired in 1991, she went back to work later for Cuna Mutual again part time for a while also.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her family for their Family Picnic’s at Blue Mounds State Park, Family camping on her land in Adam’s WI, & all of the trips she made up to her Uncle Marvin’s in Owen WI. She also spent time on 2 bowling leagues for the Wisconsin Women’s League & the Cuna Mutual bowling league. She was everyone’s spiritual leader in her family. She had great joy in her later years in being part of her daughter’s life along with her grandchildren’s lives watching them grow and being part of their families with all of her great grandchildren as well.

Beverly is survived by her Daughter Laura Adkins of Middleton, her sister Eileen Fahrney of Sun Prairie, Brother-in-law Roger Nolden of Sun Prairie, sister-in-law Shirley Powers of Evansville, 3 Grandchildren, Norm (Lois) Adkins of Oregon, Susan (Ron) Schniedewind of Middleton, Ginger (Kevin) Garfoot of Fond Du Lac, 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandson, and many nieces & nephews that she all loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl in 1970; mother, Myrtle in 1993; sister-in-law Marilyn 2015, brother Leland in 2020, brother Marlin in 2020, her aunts Thea & Inger, & her uncles, Norman, Hjalmer, Clarence, Marvin.
