MADISON - Bonita Rae "Bonnie" Johnson, age 66 of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at St. Mary's hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.
Bonnie was born on August 6, 1947 in Frederic, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roland and Marian (Anderson) Lundquist. She graduated from Frederic High School in 1965 and the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in 1969.
Bonnie worked for several years in an administrative position in the Chemistry Department at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. After moving back to Wisconsin, she worked as an Administrative Director in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin Madison until her retirement.
Bonnie is survived by her two sons Paul (Mary Beth "Swede") and Adam (Mallory) and their father Steven Johnson; her new grandson Gunner; a sister Debby (Vern) Kleman; nephew Jacob (Kim) Kleman, niece Rachel (Chip) Burns and great-nephew Jonas Burns and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 12 NOON at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Rd., Madison, on Monday, March 24, 2014 with Rev. Sheryl L. Erickson officiating. Family will greet friends at church one hour prior to service. A reception will follow.
