Bonnie Livesey

September 4, 1942 — July 18, 2021

Bonnie Marie Livesey, age 78, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

She was pre-deceased by her loving and devoted husband, John P. Livesey; her parents, Thomas Charles Clements and Annabelle (Peck) Clements; her brother, Thomas James Clements; her sister, Sue Ann Krueger; and by her granddaughter, Erica Fleming.

Bonnie was born in Madison, WI on September 4, 1942.  She graduated in 1960 from Madison West High School where she met the love of her life, John P. Livesey.  The two married on June 2, 1961, and together raised a large and loving family.  Bonnie and John’s greatest passion was without question their children—John K. Livesey (Lisa), Michelle L. Hutton, James P. Livesey and Jeff A. Livesey.  They worked tirelessly to provide a loving and supportive home for them and took tremendous pride in each of them.

Bonnie was the matriarch of the clan.  She adored her four children and doted on her wonderful grandchildren—Erica and Tony Fleming; John “Jake” Livesey and Sydney Livesey; Kyle Hutton; Austen, Ashlin and Abby Livesey; and Madeline “Maddie” Livesey.

Bonnie and John shared more than 55 amazing years of their life together. They traveled extensively, counting their trip to Ireland as particularly meaningful.  Bonnie and John were astute art collectors, expanding their collection during their travels.  Cherished as well were times spent at their homes in Florida and on the Chain O’ Lakes in Waupaca, WI where riding motorcycles, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, campfires, boating and even dibble dabble were enjoyed by all.

Bonnie had many close long-lasting friendships and was a dear friend to many.   She loved to entertain and did so often.  From grand parties to hosting her children’s friends (who all said Mrs. Livesey always had the best snacks) to memorable holiday celebrations where all were welcome and no one left hungry, Bonnie was a gracious and gifted hostess.  She was also an avid gardener, serving as president of her garden club.

Bonnie is survived by her four children and eight of her nine grandchildren, as well as her sister Nancy Lynn Clements and her brother Daniel Howard Clements.

It is impossible for her family to imagine a world without Bonnie in it.  Bonnie greatly impacted and meant so much to her family and with her passing each family member is experiencing immeasurable loss.  We were all blessed to have Bonnie in our lives and the void created by her passing will forever go unfilled.

The family will hold a private service at Cress Funeral Home.
