Bonnie Lee Mehtala

Sun Prairie -- Bonnie L. Mehtala , age 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Hospice Inc. in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. She was born on January 11, 1938, the daughter of Fred and Louese (Hunter) Mitchell in Hillsboro, Wisconsin and grew up in the Ontario area. Bonnie was united in marriage to John Mehtala in March of 1959 in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked for the State of Wisconsin for 42 years as a Computer Programmer with the Department of Administration. Bonnie loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, John; her children, Theresa (Kevin) Much, John (Dawnna) Mehtala and Michael (Jacquoline) Mehtala; five grandchildren, Hannah, Jannah, Sabrina, Lane and Garrett; a sister, Joan (Maynard) Liscum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marie Popp.

A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Monday, November 2, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Private family services will be held at a later date.
