Madison / Waunakee -- Bradley M. Hellenbrand, age 51, died on Sunday April 18, 2010 at a Madison Hospital following a long illness. He was born on Aug 5, 1958 in Madison to Vern and Donna (Elliott) Hellenbrand. He grew up in the Waunakee/ Madison area. Brad was employed as a Information Technologist for the State of Wisconsin for the past 25 years. He enjoyed golf, skiing, watching Badger Hockey and Football and the Packers, and figuring out sudoku puzzles. His favorite pastime was watching his sons play sports.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Chandler Hellenbrand; two sons, Jon and Matthew; and two stepchildren Melissa Chandler and Christopher Chandler; his mother Donna; and brothers and a sister Randy (Cary) Hellenbrand, Rod (Karla) Hellenbrand, Beth (Tim) Strait and Mike (Janeen) Hellenbrand and ten nieces and nephews; his former wife Patty (Hahn) Hellenbrand and a special godmother Betty Valley. He was preceded in death by his dad Vern in 2002.
A memorial service will be held on Thurs April 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St Peter's Catholic Church 5001 N. Sherman Ave. Madison Rev Roger Nilles will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home 5785 Hwy Q Waunakee from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wed April 21, 2010. Friends may also call at the church on Thurs. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A reception will follow the service on Thursday. The family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Brad during his illness.
