Thompson, Bryan D.

Madison: Bryan Douglas Thompson, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by loving family on May 13, 2018. Bryan was born on May 9, 1951 in Manchester, Iowa to Wayne and Violet (Thierman) Thompson and moved to Madison as a child. He was a 1969 graduate of West High School before attending UW Eau Claire. Bryan apprenticed with Plumbers Local 75 in 1978 and retired in 2018 as a Master Plumber. He married the love of his life, Linda (Carow) Thompson in 1980 and they had 38 wonderful years together. Bryan is survived by his mother Violet, his wife Linda, daughters Melanie Thompson and Jillian (Than) Berndt, grandchildren William and Briar Berndt, brother Richard, sisters Margaret Schemberger, Carolyn (Jerry) Althaus, Morgan (John) Harlow and many nieces and nephews. Bryan had a kind and giving heart, was a wonderful son, husband, father and Bumpa. He was a loyal friend, a good neighbor, an awesome plumber, and a pretty good poker player. The loss of this good man is beyond measure. We will miss you forever. We give sincere thanks to the Carbone Cancer Center and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Bryan's life will be held on May 26 from 2pm to 5pm at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave, Madison. Please share a memory.
