Carly N. Batz, age 16, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 as the result of an auto accident.  She was born January 17, 1992, in Madison, the daughter of Greg and Stacey (Moss) Batz.  Carly was in the Junior class of the Sun Prairie High School.  She was an active member of the 4-H and enjoyed showing horses and dogs for which she had earned many ribbons and trophies.  Carly also loved reading, writing, painting, skateboarding and singing.   In addition to her parents, Greg and Stacey, Carly is survived by her sister Sara Batz at home, her maternal grandmother: Rosemary (Larry) Koerber of Troy, IL and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandfather.   Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 22 at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH 550 Lincoln in Sun Prairie, where friends may call from noon until time of service.  Reverend Gail O'Neal will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Dane County Humane Society.
