Carol Ann Bakken, 76 of Oregon passed away on December 10, 2021 at St. Mary’s hospital ICU from Covid.
She was born May 5, 1945 in Milwaukee, daughter of Ralph Mindham and Clara Brown-Leigh.
She married Roger J. Bakken on November 12, 1966. She worked for Dane County for 37 years. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandsons Kaden and Kyler. She loved to spend time at church and recently helped in Kaden’s confirmation class at St. John’s. She loved watching her all star grandson Kyler play soccer, even though she was losing her eyesight to macular degeneration. Mom also loved being outside working in the yard. She also had many friends that would spend time with her and go out to lunch.
She is survived by her children R.J. Bakken and Debbie (Kamsath) Keo, grandsons Kaden (15) and Kyler (14) Jeremy (29) and granddaughter Brittany (31), brothers Derwin Leigh, Richard Leigh, Randy (Tina) Leigh and Michael (Kyong A) Leigh, a special cousin Diane Collins, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roger J. Bakken, her mother and father, brothers Billy, Danny, and David, and baby Matthew a special nephew.
A celebration of life will be in the summer.
