Carol Friedrich

Sun Prairie - Carol E. Friedrich, age 70, passed away in peace at her home on September 20th, 2017. She was born July 5th, 1947 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Anna and Herbert Friedrich. She attended Postville Rural School and graduated from New Glarus High School in 1965.

After school, Carol worked at American Family Insurance Company for 43 years retiring in 2008. During her tenure, she had many professional and personal accomplishments. Carol's greatest was her upbeat and outgoing personality. This was evident by the many friendships she developed over the years. She had an infectious laugh that made people want to be around her; or maybe it was knowing she was always there to have a cold Coors Light with her friends. Carol enjoyed traveling, golf, softball, biking, NASCAR, Badger football and basketball, Packers, walking, and gambling.

Carol is survived by her two brothers, Donald (Bonnie) Friedrich, Blanchardville, WI and Larry (Janell) Friedrich, Blanchardville, WI.; seven nephews and nieces, Ian (Liz) Friedrich, Bloomington, IL, Chad (Andrea) Friedrich, Superior, WI, Dana (Mark) Olson, Monticello, WI, Marcia (Dave) Turner, Verona, WI, Kyle (Becky) Friedrich, Blanchardville, WI, Traci (Beau) Brummond, Mt. Horeb, WI, and Cindy (Kirk) Fitpold, Arkdale, WI.; and 18 great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at PEACE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 232 Windsor St., Sun Prairie, on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Luke C. Werre officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church and American Cancer Society.
