Carol Holverson

Stoughton - Carol Jean Holverson, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Skaalen Nursing Home and Rehab. She was born on August 7, 1938 in Stoughton, the daughter of Russell and Alma (Olson) Gunsolus. On September 28, 1958 she married John Holverson Sr.

Carol enjoyed the simple life and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her 4 sons, Jeff (Misti), John (Mindy), Joey, and Jack (Dawn); Ten grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica), Curtis, Daniel (Jenna), Steven (Jordan), Sam, Joseph, Joshua, Ashley, Austin, and Tristan; 7 great grandchildren, Avery, Beckham, Paige, Rikki, Dwayne Jr., Heaven, and Braden; sister, Judy Spilde; sister-in-law, Mary (Bob) Horton; aunt, Muriel Kirby, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews; her close friends Ron and Helen Leikness.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband John; brother-in-law Harley; and many loved ones.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home 206 W., Prospect St., Stoughton. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
