Carol Strandlie

Stoughton- Carol L. Strandlie, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home. She was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 18, 1950, the daughter of Stanley and Margaret Dahl.

Carol graduated from Stoughton High School. On September 28, 1968 she married Dennis A. Strandlie. Together they enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing, and snowmobiling.

Carol worked as a CNA at Nazareth Health and Rebab for 23.5 years until her retirement in August 2011. She enjoyed reading, having coffee at Rosewood with friends, and spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by five children, Lynda (Rich) Smithback, Jon (Kristin) Strandlie, Diane (Jason) Kellnhofer, Michelle (Lazer) Nelson, and Greg (Jayme Huston) Strandlie; seven grandchildren, Ross Strandlie, Hailee and Evey Kellnhofer, Gage, Gunder and Beckett Nelson, and Dennis Strandlie; siblings, Paul (Ann) Dahl, Lynette (Bob) Paulsen, and Scott Dahl; brother-in-law, Don Mehltretter; many nieces and nephews; extended relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Denise Mehltretter; and dear aunt, Arleen Rasmussen.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Road B, Stoughton, with Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2023 at church, and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday at church.
