Carol S. Vondrasek

Oregon- Carol S. Vondrasek, age 78, peacefully entered her eternal home on Thursday, December 14, 2023 with her family at her bedside. She was born in Elgin, IL on July 15, 1945, the daughter of Herschel and Dorothy Johnson.

Carol and her family moved to WI in the 1970’s where she worked at Lake Waubesa Bible Camp. She volunteered as an EMT for McFarland and Monona, worked in the office of the Monona Grove Clinic, as a bankruptcy paralegal for Collins, Beatty & Krekler for 20 years, and as church secretary at Hillcrest Bible Church in Oregon.

Carol was a very caring, giving, and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her cookbooks and watching cooking shows.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Denzer; son, Erik (Marci) Kadlec; eight grandchildren, Cody (Kali) Kadlec, Cailana Kadlec, Josh Denzer, Devin (Paola) Denzer, Mallory (Jonathan) Sparks, Ashlee Dickinson, Annika (Mitch) Rymarowicz, Jeremiah Kadlec; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephew; and ex-husband, Roger Vondrasek. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Edwin Kadlec; sons, Edwin “Chip” Kadlec and infant Michael Kadlec; grandson, Zachary Denzer; and two brothers, Jack and Rick Johnson.

Private burial will take place in Town of Dunn Burying Grounds. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Bible Church, 752 E. Netherwood Street, Oregon, WI, 53575.

A special thank you to St. Croix Hospice, to the staff of UW Hospital 6th floor, and to granddaughter Ashlee who cared for Carol in her home.
