Stoughton- Carolyn M. Ciszewski, age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Harmony House. She was born on March 8, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of Roy and Elsie Gray. Carolyn spent the majority of her life in the Chicago area. In 1942 Carolyn married Herman Henning in Chicago. Together they raised three children. Carolyn enjoyed teaching kindergarten at Salem Lutheran School in Homewood, IL for 10 years. Teaching and working with children was her passion. In 1965 her husband, Herman, preceded her in death. In 1968 Carolyn married Joseph Czysczon in Markham, IL. Together they enjoyed travelling the world, especially their trips to Hawaii and overseas. In 1973 Joe preceded her in death. In 1975 Carolyn married Raymond Ciszewski in Chicago. Together they lived in the Upper Peninsula of Crystal Falls, MI, for 15 years and enjoyed fishing and eating Pasties. After Ray's death in 1992 she moved to Stoughton to be closer to her daughter. Carolyn's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, butterflies and hummingbirds, reading, art and creative crafts. Carolyn was a member of Covenant Lutheran Church. She is survived by her three children, Cherrie (David) Henning Johnson of Stoughton, Donald (Lorene) Henning and Ronald (Patricia) Henning, both of Crystal Lake, IL; six grandchildren, Rachel (Willem Defloor) Henning of Belgium, Paul and Jenna Henning, both of Chicago, Brad (Mary) Johnson of Indian Ford, Kira (Kyle) Jacobson of Beaver Dam and Kate (Britt) Kitchens of Madison; three great grandchildren, Sepp, Tim and Nils Defloor, all of Belgium; and many extended relatives from the Henning, Czyscon and Ciszewski families.
