Carolyn Jean Willey Muehlenbruch Schofield Zellner

Carolyn Jean Willey Muehlenbruch Schofield Zellner, age 86, of Waunakee, died peacefully at her home on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born April 12, 1937 to Herman and Emilie (Kuball) Willey in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Carolyn worked for the State of Wisconsin-Department of Revenue before her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite activity was spending time gardening at her cottage in Door County, Wisconsin.

Survivors include her 3^rd husband Robert M Zellner of Waunakee, sister Joan Paar of Cross Plains and six children: Shirley Kelliher, Dennis Schofield, William K. (Jean) Schofield, Vicki Lucas, Dale (Sheila) Muehlenbruch and Sandra (Vince) Guinto.

Also survived by her 18 grandchildren: Kathrine Thacker, Nicholas Kelliher, Andrew Kelliher, JoEllen Wade, Christina Matelski, Michelle Schofield, Jillian Banser, Kimberly Janssen, Kelly Casey, April Carne, Amber Smiley, David Lucas, Amanda Lucas, Megan Muehlenbruch, Melissa Barbar, Daniel Valdivia, Matthew Guinto, Melanie Guinto, their spouses and a multitude of great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include the children of Robert M. Zellner: Bradley (Sandi) Zellner, Julie Zellner, Kevin (Beth) Zellner, Robert A. (Cecilia) Zellner, Christopher (Amie) Zellner, Jennifer (Alex) Schmalz and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband Earl Muehlenbruch, second husband William E. Schofield, her parents Herman and Emilie Willey, brothers LeRoy Willey, Verlyn Willey, Harland Willey, Donald Willey, and sisters Elizabeth Ott and Emily Saager.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Burial will take place at Blossomberg Cemetery in Fish Creek, Door County at a later date.
