Caryl B. Biege

Sun Prairie - Caryl Beth Biege, age 74 of Sun Prairie died on Sunday November 17, 2024, peacefully at her home. Caryl was born on May 13, 1950 in Portage WI, the daughter of Herman Ziehmke and Jean (Martin) Ziehmke. She worked at Madison Gas and Electric from 1968 until retiring after 38 years. She also worked part time for UW Medical foundation. 

Caryl loved spending time in her garden and watching the birds and wildlife in her beautiful yard. She also loved crafting with her daughters and grandchildren. Every Tuesday was a date day with her husband Rick to go thrifting to find treasures that she could add her touch to, or fix up and sell again. For 20 summers Caryl loved spending time at the cottage in Lake Delton with the grandchildren. Summer days at the pools were a cherished memory for everyone. 

She is survived by her husband Richard Biege, daughters Rebecca Sorensen (Brent) and Heather Hehenberger (Corey). Her grandchildren Hannah Sorensen, Brayden Sorensen, and Mya Hehenberger. Sisters Jane Ziehmke, Kay Bryan, Sue Fahey (Greg), and Brother David Ziehmke (Patty). Also, many deeply loved and cherished nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by her parents Herman and Jean Ziehmke and in laws Donald and Genevieve Biege. Her sisters Phyllis Haak (Richard), Gail Meister (Dean), infant grandson Aaron Michael Sorensen, Niece Janelle Borkenhagen and brother-in-law Jerry Biege.

A gathering to celebrate Caryl will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday December 7, 2024, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
