Madison - Catherine M. Henry, age 85, passed away on Friday June 18, 2010 at Oakwood Village West. Â Born in Milwaukee WI on July 19, 1924, she was the daughter of Stephen and Elsie Mueller. In February 1949 she married James W. Henry. Â Catherine graduated from Cudahy High School in 1942 and received her BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1946 and her MA in 1976. In 1946 Catherine served as Wisconsin Dairy Queen, and later worked for the Wis. Dept. of Agriculture travelling the United States with Alice in Dairyland. She moved to Madison in 1965 where she was employed by the State of Wis. Division of Mental Hygiene, retiring in 1985 as Chief of the Education and Information Section of the Dept. of Health and Social Services. In her retirement Catherine enjoyed tennis, working with stained glass, and writing children's stories. She will be greatly missed by her three children Patricia (Paul) Sharpe, Paul (Kim) Henry, Jean (Gregg) Moral, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2112 Rowley Ave., Madison. Â Interment will be Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in St. Francis, Wisconsin. Â Memorials may be made to Susan G. Koman Madison Affiliate and the Oakwood Foundation.
