Catherine M. Ophime

Madison - Catherine M. Ophime, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Willow Pointe Assisted Living in Verona. She was born on March 9, 1919 in Madison, the daughter of Mathias and Emma (Bowman) Karls. Catherine was united in marriage to Edward Ophime on June 11, 1960.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ken) Williams; grandchildren, Nicholas and April Williams; a sister, Helen Karls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward and her brother Fred Karls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 405 S. Owen Dr., Madison, on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
