Cecilia Josephine Meier

Cross Plains/Martinsville- Cecilia J. Meier, age 78 was called to her eternal home on July 8, 2010 at the Don & Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center,

Fitchburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1931 to Alois & Elizabeth Laubmeier in Plain, WI. She always felt extremely blessed to have married two wonderful men; John J. Meier in 1952 & George V. Meier in 1956. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading and Sudoku puzzles. But most importantly, she valued the time spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Anne Rosseter, Stephen, Helen (Denny) Koppes, Gerard, Bernadette Ballweg, Jeanette (Greg) Miller, Vincent (Jenni), John (Brenda), Lisa (Mike) Slotty, George (Liz) & Chuck (Lynn) all within the surrounding area; 26 grandchildren, 12 great e•""grandchildren; a brother, Cyril; 2 special nieces, Sandy & Betty Ella; special friend, Eleanor Maier. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son Mark and infants, Gregory & Mary; brothers, Cletus & Virgil, sisters, Eleanor Flanders & Betty Baker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. MARTIN OF TOURS CATHOLIC CHURCH MARTINSVILLE, 5959 St. Martin Circle, Martinsville with Father Eugene e•--Bude•"" Hollfelder presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held in the churche••s cemetery. She was an amazing & remarkable woman, and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
