Charles Allen Overheu

Sun Prairie-Charles A. Overheu, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his home.  He was born on August 26, 1937 in Barrington, IL the son of William & Marjorie (Schick) Overheu. Charles was united in marriage to Cindy Meyer on September 21, 1991 in Utica, IL.  He served his country for over 40 years. He first served with the U.S. Army, then the U.S.A.F. and finally with the U.S. Postal Service where he served as a Postmaster at various post offices in the Madison area. He will be missed by his beloved family including his wife, Cindy, Sun Prairie; his children, Valorie (Rick) Ballweg, Waunakee and Abigail (Marcio) Saban, Cottage Grove; his grandchildren, Rikki, Joseph & Ryan Ballweg and Natalia Saban; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rachel.  A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday May 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie with Father Brian Dulli presiding.  A time of gathering will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
