Charles Erik Chuck' Sagen, age 53, passed away at UW Hospital in Madison on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Â He was born in Milwaukee on November 9, 1956, a son of Clifford Kip' and Ruth (Hougan) Sagen. Â Chuck graduated from Stoughton High School in 1975, where he wrestled on the varsity team. Â He worked on the family farm, the family tavern, Kip's', and helped to raise championship horses. Â In the late 1970's he worked in Louisiana as a roustabout on off-shore oil rigs for Schlumberger wire line services. Â Then, he came back to work at Kip's Tavern in Pleasant Springs. Â Â On March 7, 1995, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Lien. Â Chuck had a great love of music and a big heart. Â Family was very important to him, and he was always there when someone needed him. Â He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Â He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. Â Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 2633 Church St., Cottage Grove, with the Rev. Thomas Heyn officiating. Â Burial will follow at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery. Â The family will greet friends on Thursday, June 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again on Friday at church from 10:00 am until the time of services. Â In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church and School.
