Charles J. Cerniglia Jr. “Chuck”, age 77, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. Chuck was born to the late Charles and Georgia (nee: Schiro) Cerniglia on June 19, 1944. Chuck graduated in 1963 from Central High School, Madison. He specialized in sales and engineering in the construction business and was with Carl C. Crane Corporation for 20 years and 23 years with Ellis Wholesale retiring 2006. Chuck was a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church, serving as an usher. He was proud of his Italian heritage and for many years was involved with Festa Italia. He had many hobbies which included photography, hunting, fishing, and refinishing woodwork. One of his many loves was spending time with his grandchildren fishing at his cabin in Three Lakes, WI.
He is survived by his children; Lisa (Todd) Lusk, Lori Cerniglia, and Dr. Ross (Maureen) Cerniglia; grandchildren Addison, Mackenzie, and Beau; siblings Bob (Kathy) Cerniglia and Marie (Doug) Griesbach; special friend Mary Ann Seaman, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Pete Cerniglia.
There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, February 19 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, from 9-11 am. A celebration of Chuck’s life will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorials in Chuck’s name may be made to Cure PSP ( https://www.psp.org/ ).
