Charles "Chuck" Page Koehler, age 89, passed away on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2022 in Verona, Wisconsin. He was born on June 7,1933 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edwin and Arlene Page Koehler.
Chuck married the love of his life, Gail Barrand Koehler, on April 11, 1959.
His family later moved to Appleton, WI and he graduated from Appleton West High. From there he went to Wentworth Military Academy and then on to University of Wisconsin. He pursued his interest in agricultural architecture and was very gifted musically playing both the piano and the violin. His other interests included fishing, hunting, and rescuing injured birds and animals.
It was at UW Madison that he met his future wife, Gail. After they were married they moved to Milwaukee. Chuck continued to serve in the Army (in the Reserves) for 10 years, and worked for US Steel for a time before landing his lifelong career at the W.H. Brady Company.
They raised three daughters in Whitefish Bay. After their daughters were grown, Chuck retired from working 30 years at the W.H.Brady Company. He and Gail moved to Madison where they owned and operated the Kardell Laundromat and an apartment building. In 2000 they moved to McFarland, Wisconsin.
They were blessed with a wonderful church family at Blackhawk, Fireside Friends, Sauk Trails Optimist Club friends, and travel: including the US as well as Europe and the Holy Land. He would say his favorites were the Canadian fishing excursions and deer camp in Boscobel, WI with his dearest friends.
Chuck lived a wonderful life as husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
He spent his life caring for, providing for & loving his family.
Chuck is survived by his 3 daughters and their spouses: Chery(Russ) Dokken; Laurie(Erwin) Felton; and Kathy(Brian) Shuler; 18 grandchildren; Dean(Megan Thompson) Dokken; Kayli and James Felton; Michelle(Alex) Gerber; Rachel(Luke) Castonguay; Sarah Shuler(Charles Boyte); Lindsey(Oscar) Gonzalez; John(Kaitlyn) Shuler; Eileen Shuler; Bruce(Avi) Shuler; Andrew Shuler(Emma Berghoefer), Kirsten, Steven, Joshua, Daniel, Timothy, Jeremy & Charles Shuler.
