Madison - Charlotte (Teckemeyer) Hambrecht, age 96, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born on Feb. 5, 1916 in Madison Wisconsin to Harry and Edith (Donner) Teckemeyer. After graduating from Madison West High School, she attended the University of Wisconsin and spent several years doing survey work for the U.W. School of Agriculture. Later she was employed by the First National Bank in Madison.
She married Albert Henry Hambrecht on October 28, 1938. Charlotte was active in Zor Shrine functions, working for the Shriner's Children's Hospitals. She was a past Queen of Antioch Temple # 113, Daughters of the Nile. The Hambrecht's loved to travel, taking trips to many foreign countries. After Al retired from Research Products Corporation in 1976, they spend 20 years in Florida. Following her husband's death, Charlotte returned to Madison to be near her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Kurt (Chris) Hambrecht of White Potato Lake, Pound, WI and Mark (Laurie) Hambrecht of Verona, WI; four grandchildren, Heidi (Joel) Christophersen of Cedarburg, Wi., Heather Hambrecht of Milwaukee, WI, Nicholas Hambrecht of Minneapolis, MN, and Mackenzie Hambrecht of Verona, WI; and two great grandchildren, Emma and Ellie Christophersen of Cedarburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Lorraine Kuelling and Harriet Kelley.
Charlotte's request was to have a private interment service at a later date. In lieu of flowers or memorials Charlotte wanted everyone to spend some time with a loved one over coffee or a light lunch.
