Charlotte Jirschele, nee Vroman, age 87, passed away on Dec. 18, 2010. Charlotte was born on Feb. 18, 1923 in Westfield to Merrill and Maude Vroman where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Westfield High School and was Valedictorian in 1941.Charlotte played the french horn and had won several awards. She was a member of the Badger Marching Band at UW and received her Nursing Degree in 1945. Following WWII she married Enos ""Chuck"" Jirschele. They had three sons, Robert, James and Thomas. For many years Chuck and Charlotte operated the local Standard Oil Bulk Delivery Service. Later they purchased and operated the IGA, (later the Super Valu), in Westfield. Charlotte also ran the Deer Ridge Assisted Living Home in Oxford until finally moving to Plover. Charlotte was an elder in the Westfield Presbyterian Church; a member of the Eastern Star; Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Nancy) and Robert (Cheryl) and granddaughters, Megan and Alanna. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Chuck and son James. There will be a Funeral Service on Thurs. Dec. 23, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at Westfield Presbyterian Church, 511 S. Main, Westfield, WI 53964 with Pastor Barbara Merwin presiding. There will be a visitation from 10 a. m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Westfield Presbyterian Church.
