Charlotte E. Wadsworth

July 7, 1913 — January 24, 2009

Charlotte E. Wadsworth, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Sebring Assisted Living in Madison.   Charlotte was born on July 7, 1913 the daughter of James and Hannah (Falk) Solberg in Eau Claire.   She was united in marriage to Irvin Wadsworth on November 4, 1934 in Eau Claire.   The Wadsworth family lived in Eau Claire and other locations before moving to Shorewood Hills, where they have lived since 1949.   Irvin and Charlotte shared 65 years together.   Irvin passed away in 1999.   Charlotte enjoyed playing bridge and was a faithful card club member.   She loved music and played the organ in church, and also was an avid reader.   She was a long time and active member of Midvale Community Lutheran Church.   Charlotte is survived by her devoted   children; C. Ann ( Gary) Johnson, of Middleton, James   I. ( Linda) Wadsworth of Punta Gorda, Florida, Jane A. Blandino, of Madison, cherished grandchildren; Laurie (Brad) Palchik, Cindy Main, Stacey Christ, Lisa (Gregg) Motelet, J. Matthew (Julie) Wadsworth, Timothy (Carlene) Wadsworth, step-granchildren; Deb Nies, Vaughn (Heather) Johnson, great grandchildren; Dylan Palchik, Amber Severin, Nathan Wadsworth, Ashley Wadsworth, Anna Wadsworth, Catherine Wadsworth, Hayleigh Motelet, Ajay Motelet, and step-great grandchildren; Hannah Nies, and Levi Johnson.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Irvin, sisters; Evelyn and Alice, and her grandson, Jonathan.   A private family funeral will be held, and burial will take place at Sunset Memory Gardens.   In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395   E. Cheryl Pkwy., Madison, WI   53711, in Charlottes name.   The family would like to thank the staff of both Sebring Assisted Living and HospiceCare for their loving and compassionate care and support.
