Madison - Cherryl Lynn KasaKaitas, age 70 was a devout Christian who entered heaven unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. She was born on April 18, 1945 in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Audrey (Whittemore) KasaKaitas.
In 1964, Cherryl graduated from West High School and then went on to earn degrees from Madison Business College and Upper Iowa University. She was an accountant for T.D.S. and during the holidays she was known as the "Christmas Cookie Lady". In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed being an avid Badger, Packer and Brewer fan, her love of reading books, music and travel. Cherryl will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cherryl is survived by her two sisters; Karen (Terry) Stekelberg of Pardeeville and Nedra Jean (Ronald) Augsburger of Madison, five nieces and nephews; Christine (Dean) Kiefer of Pewaukee, Jeffry (Maria) Fletcher of Charlotte, N.C., William, Michael and Laura Stekelberg of Pardeeville, and 5 great nieces and great nephews; Kaitlyn Kiefer, Josephine, Owen and Audrey Fletcher and Isabella Stekelberg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jerry Amstutz officating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services. Private graveside services will be held at Princeton City Cemetery in Princeton, Wisconsin.
