Cheryl L. Stark

Sun Prairie – Cheryl Lynn Stark, age 70, passed away on Tuesday January 21, 2025, at UW Hospital in Madison. Cheryl has touched many people with her kindness and was known for her strength and compassion.

She was born March 4, 1954, in Stanley, Wisconsin to the late Leonard and Beatrice (Valk) Haas. Cheryl married Richard O. Stark on April 6, 1974, and they just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She worked for 40 years for American Family Insurance. Cheryl loved spending time with family, especially going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. She loved playing bingo, gardening, going for deals at garage sales, and baking. 

Cheryl is survived by her husband Richard; children Shannon (Mike) Krachey and Becky (Dan) Gleiter; grandchildren Collin and Carter Krachey, and Ben and Nick Gleiter; brothers Gary (Sue) Haas, and Brice (Julie) Haas; she is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Kevin Haas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday February 1, 2025, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie. A luncheon is planned for after the service. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
