Chris Hansen

Chris Anne Hansen, age 65, of Madison passed away on January 17th, 2018. She was born December 14th, 1952 to Wayne and Joanne Hansen and was married to Larry Classen on February 14th, 1998.

Chris's life was about people- family, friends, clients, coworkers. She always tried to make things better for others. Whether it was by opening her heart or her home, she was forever available to those she loved.

She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and will be deeply missed by those lucky enough to love her. Family and friends were truly fortunate to have loved and been loved by her.

She is survived by her husband Larry, sister Mary (Michael), brother David (Lisa), stepson Tate, stepdaughter Kristin (Jamie), grandson Gunnar, nephew Erik, niece Stephanie, and great nephews and nieces David, Jakub, Helena, and Julia. And of course, Sebastian, her Chemo Sabe puppy who helped her survive cancer 8 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents whom she adored, Wayne and Joanne.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the UW Carbone Cancer Center for giving us 8 more years with Chris.

A gathering celebrating Chris will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison.
