Christopher Allen Pauer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher Allen Pauer, 60, of Madison, WI on August 17, 2024. Chris was a beloved husband, father, son-in-law, and friend. Chris was born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Madison in 1981 to attend the University of Wisconsin, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Chris worked for Mirion at the time of his death. He enjoyed trivia, computer gaming, playing sheepshead and poker. He also collected and sold comic books. 

Chris is survived by his wife Karen Elke (Dowdy); his son Johnathon, his daughter Sydnie, son-in-law Ryan Boeder, and his mother-in-law Heide Dowdy of Manitowoc, WI. He is also survived by his sister Janet Kvamme of Twin Valley, MN and his brother Michael Pauer of Milwaukee, as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Allen A. Pauer, his mother Virginia M. Pauer, and his brother Jeffrey A. Pauer. 

Services will be held for Chris on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd in Madison. The visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. and the Service will be at 11:30 a.m. After the service there will be a light luncheon served.
