Clara Segessenman Stucki

Madison -- In the still of evening the soul of Clara Segessenman Stucki, age 95, joined her many departed loved ones. Her life's impact on those of us who loved her was quiet, profound and enduring. Clara died peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. She was born on July 27, 1913 to Hans Theabold and Elise (Feller) Segessenman and joined in marriage to Paul Stucki April 11, 1936. She retired from the Madison Metropolitan School District. She was a long time and faithful member of Memorial United Church of Christ, Fitchburg and the area Swiss Club. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; grandson, Matthew Falkenstein; her parents; and sisters, Caroline Wick, Marie Simpson, Lena Zweifel. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Edward) Busse, Jacqueline Gutzmer, Sharon Siewert and Paulette (Steven) Falkenstein; grandchildren, Jay (Kim) and Erik (Kjersten) Busse, Kari (Michael) Acker, Kent (Jennifer) Gutzmer, Kristin (Kevin) MacKay, Michele (Tory) Siewert and Heather Falkenstein; and ten great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 5705 Lacy Road, Fitchburg with Pastor Phil Haslanger presiding. Visitation will take place one hour prior to worship. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
