Clarice Lyke

Stoughton- Clarice A. Lyke, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. She was born in Stoughton on March 3, 1946, the middle child of Carl and Bernice Phillips. Clarice graduated from Stoughton High School, and earned her nursing degree. She was a Registered Nurse working in private doctors offices, then as the Director of Nursing for Nygaards, and then as the PM Nursing Supervisor at Skaalen until her retirement.

Clarice met the love of her life, Charles Lyke, through a mutual friend. They were united in marriage on April 3, 1975. Together they enjoyed traveling, raising their children and grandchildren, and going to musical performances. Clarice enjoyed spending time doing cross stitch, needlework, and reading.

Clarice is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles; two children, Carla (Josh) Hoffman and Chris (April) Lyke; seven grandchildren, Noelle and Eli Gomez, Wilson, Miles, Landry, Kelso and Elliot Lyke; and special cousin, Mary Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two siblings, Janice Notbohm Lehmann and Robert Phillips.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services at church on Tuesday.
