Cletus H. Schey

Cletus Schey, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on December 30, 2023.  Cletus was born on December 16, 1938 to Charlotte and Arthur Schey in Tucson, AZ.

Cletus is survived by his children; Sheri Schey, Sandee (Dan) McKinnon, Patrick Schey, Michael (Shauna) Schey, Anthony (Nicole) Schey, and 7 grandchildren, and sister-in-law Shirley Schey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Peg “Rose” Schey, brother Larry Schey, sister Kathryn Seibel, and his second wife Yvonne (Casey) Schey. 

Cletus attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1957.  In 1958 he met Peg “Rose” Schey and they wed in 1961.  The couple moved to Watertown and opened Warren Schey House of Music for 15 years before moving to Minocqua, WI where he was a successful Real Estate broker until 2011.  He retired in Middleton, WI. 

Anyone who knew Cletus knew he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.

Cletus was also a passionate musician.  He played the piano, organ, and accordion and would often be the life of the party playing and singing for his family and friends. 

There will be a visitation at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter St. Middleton, WI 53562 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm that will conclude with a Rosary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm.  The family requests that all flowers and condolences be sent to the church.  Flowers may be ordered from Woods Floral, Fond Du Lac, WI (920) 922-6780.
