Clinton S. Severson, age 97 passed away on December 13, 2014. He was born in Blue Mounds Wisconsin on Sept. 1, 1917 the son of Henry Alvin and Clara Severson.
He was lifelong dairy farmer but had many other jobs along the way including running two bowling alleys, a bar in Waterloo, security guard at the State capital and governor mansion, and Wisconsin dept. of transportation. He was an avid fan of the Brewers, and enjoyed watching the Packers and Badger football. He belonged to the Sons of Norway in Stoughton and loved playing cards.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughter Vicki Latsch (Gene), his son Herb Severson (Bonnie), two stepchildren Lynn Kruel (Dale), Robert Jeffcott (Pat), four grandchildren, Staci Burns (Tom), Travis Latsch (Caroline), Karyn Nehrbas (Rob), Britt Severson (Bobby), two step grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Josephine Farrell, and sister Iona Irwin.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church 3494 Oak Park Rd., Deerfield on Tuesday Dec. 16th from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior to service at church. Memorials can be given to St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church.
