Clyde Burrington

February 8, 1939 — October 9, 2016

Stoughton - Clyde L. Burrington, age 77, passed away on Sunday October 9, 2016 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at his home with family by his side. He was born on February 8, 1939 in Lime Ridge, Wisconsin, the son of Alfred and Neva (Rockhill) Burrington. He married Marilyn Brickson on October 12, 1985 Las Vegas, Nevada.

Clyde was in the Air Force for 4 years following graduation from Weston High School. He was an Independent Trucker and warehouse manager for RESCO. After he retired he started working again part time for Bumper to Bumper. He was a member of Covenant Lutheran Church where he ushered for several years. Clyde was kind, gentle, and a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa who never lost his sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Burrington; sons, Bob (Elizabeth) Burrington of Stoughton, Jim (Susan) Burrington of La Crosse, and Don Burrington of North Carolina; stepson's Jeff (Susan) Vedvig, Dan (Renee) Vedvig; step daughter Lisa (Ted) Keehn; 14 grandchildren, Jon, Trisha, Cassie, Forrest, Angela, Jami, Emily, Alie, Hanna, Roxanne, Hillary, Ashley, Erica, and Andrew; and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister's; Janice Burrington and Kathy Bass, his brother Lyle (Janet) Burrington; and many relatives.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 15, 2016 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.

A special thank you to the wonderful care he received from Agrace HospiceCare and his nephew Bill for all his time spent helping the family.
