Constance F. Gibson

July 12, 1923 — June 17, 2010

Constance F. Gibson, age 86, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 in Fitchburg.   She was born July 12, 1923, in Madison, the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Marx) Furey.   She was a member of the Lake View Moravian Church, the church choir and the Women of the Moose.   On December 22, 1942, she was united in marriage with Wayne Gibson in South Carolina.   Constance had been employed by the Madison Kipp until 1953.   She enjoyed her work but decided it was more important to stay at home to raise her children.    
Survivors include a daughter Karen (Robert) Miller of Black Earth, a son Kenneth (Patty) Gibson of Madison, a daughter Joanne (Brian) Raimer of Montello; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Leo Furey of Monona and Thomas Furey of McFarland and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne on September 25, 2002, her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.  
Friends may call from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm Monday, June 21 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where a private family service will be held.   Burial will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens.
The family would like to express its appreciation to all of the wonderful staff at Saint Mary's Emergency Room, Saint Mary's Cardiovascular Intensive Car Unit and the Fitchburg HospiceCare Center.
