Constantine Georgalan

MADISON- Constantine "Dino" Peter Georgalan, age 80, of Madison, WI, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Agrace Hospice Center.

Dino was born May 24, 1935 in Marinette, WI to Peter Constantine and Helen (Rouman) Georgalan. Dino moved to Madison to attend University of Wisconsin - Madison's Pharmacy school and entered the ROTC program where he was commissioned an officer on August 15, 1959. He retired from the Army's 44th General Hospital 23 years later as a Lt. Colonel. A Pharmacist, Dino began his career at Rennebohm Drug Store and most recently worked at Pinnow Pharmacy in Broadhead, WI where he retired at age 79. On July 21, 1962 he married his wife of 53 years, Helene Lafkas of Muskegon, Michigan and settled in Madison. Dino was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church where he served as a parish council member and a member of the Order of AHEPA. Dino was a man who gave love freely to his family and his friends.

Dino is survived by his wife, Helene of Madison, WI; his daughter Maria Helaine (Paul) Davis of Austin TX; son Peter Constantine Georgalan of Chicago, IL; his beloved granddaughters, Alexandra Evelyn and Sophia Helene Davis; sister Loula (Georgalan) Manolis of Duluth, MN.

A funeral service will be held at ASSUMPTION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 11 N. 7th Street, Madison on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Trisagon service to be held at 7:00 p.m. A visitation will be held on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials can be made in Dino's name to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
