Coryl Berglund

Stoughton- Coryl D. Sveum Berglund, age 93, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Skaalen Home. She was born in Stoughton on February 22, 1918, the daughter of Hjalmer and Della Vindedahl. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School in 1936. On April 13, 1941 Coryl married Ogden Sveum, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1949. On June 24, 1977 she married Francis Berglund, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1992. She was employed by Uniroyal Inc. for 30 years. Coryl was a member of First Lutheran Church, active with the church women and enjoyed being a greeter at the church. She was an avid quilter and member of the Quilters group of First Lutheran Church and Nazareth House. She is survived by two children, Jerald (Connie) Sveum of Beloit and Joan (J.I.) Allison of Lyles, TN; step daughter, Christine Hayes of Upland, CA; two step sons, Steven (Pat) Berglund of Wheeling, IL and Terry (Connie) Berglund of Eagle; two grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Sveum and Tim Sveum; four step grandchildren, Stephany, Cameron, Luke and Julian Berglund; and two great grandchildren, Summer and Brent. She was preceded in death by two sisters, June Wichmann and Virgene Paris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Jerry Pribbenow officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Monday.
