Craig Steven Dupont

Sun Prairie-Craig S. Dupont, age 56, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. After a brave battle against illness, Craig has left earth and joined his son Gary in the arms of our Lord. We will miss him but we take solace in the knowledge he has joined his son Gary in the everlasting love of our Lord. He was born on June 4, 1954 in Inglewood, CA the son of Robert & Betty (Capranos) Dupont. Craig was a loving father, brother, son, uncle and friend. He had a wonderful work ethic and was a man of high integrity. Craig was employed with Citrus Health Care as C.F.O. Craig was devoted to his work but even more so to those he worked with. He kept contact with so many friends which extended across thousands of miles and decades of time. Throughout life he loved cars and motorsports. Craig raced and rode motorcycles earlier in his life. In his spare time he was an avid golfer and enjoyed listening to Jazz music. Craig had an endless sense of humor. He was a graduate of California State University-Long Beach. Craig is survived by his son, Petty Officer, Paul Dupont; his mother, Betty Dupont; sister, Dr. Renee (Dr. Robert Varney) Dupont; his brothers, Colonel Dr. Daniel (Dolores Toni) Dupont and James (Eileen) Dupont; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Gary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday,, July 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie. A time of gathering will be held at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. We wish to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison, for their excellent care given to Craig. We also express gratitude to the parish and clergy of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church whose outreach comforted Craig and his family with loving support.
